Biography
In 1993, Dr. Howard K. Weissman became the director and founder of The Chicago Stress Relief Center, Inc. (CSRC). He is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a specialization in mind/body health and is a board-certified expert in traumatic stress. Dr. Weissman is also the director of psychological services for the Advanced Reproductive Health Centers, Ltd. providing a holistic approach to those struggling with issues related to infertility as well as providing evaluations for surrogacy, egg donor evaluations and stress assessments. Dr. Weissman has a diversified and generalized holistic practice working with individuals, couples and groups and has developed a specialty working with adolescents and adults with OCD and BDD.
Dr. Weissman was part of the first groups trained by Dr. Francine Shapiro in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). He uses EMDR in conjunction with other mind body technologies to aid people suffering with disturbing memories as well as aiding those preparing for in-vitro fertilization and other medical procedures. Dr. Weissman has an extensive background and training in both traditional and alternative healing. He integrates energy medicine including applied kinesiology, NET, TFT and the LifeLine Technique to provide you with a rapid and comprehensive healing experience.
Dr. Weissman artfully teaches stress management and wellness promotion including nutritional intelligence to some of the top executives, health-care providers, financial specialists and other individuals from the Chicago-land area. He is well respected in working with allied professionals toward the amelioration of stress related conditions, including those suffering with cancer and other medically related conditions. He consults with multiple businesses in the Chicago-land area on increasing job satisfaction and productivity. During his free time, Dr. Weissman practices Tai Chi, is training for the Chicago Marathon and has a passion for language and travel. He has a love for nature and is currently raising his family in the Chicago-land area, where he was born and raised.
